My husband chose to order the chicken sandwich without a bun.
Okay you know what the conversation was when the bun arrived. The waiter apologized took the plate and was back in 1 minute or less. It was very obvious that he took the plate to the kitchen and took the bun off the chicken and put the chicken back on the plate. My husband was so annoyed and concerned about cross cantamination and just gave the chicken away and are the fries. He came home and made a gluten free meal.
beadwhimsicalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14213288664923412836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9193200967947563359.post-48610208492341083462014-10-01T15:48:09.261-06:002014-10-01T15:48:09.261-06:00Thanks for the information about Celiac Disease. You're going to risk malnutrition and cancer over a BAGEL?), I do kind of agree on the taste. I love the other Udi's products without fail -oh MAMA those chocolate muffins!

These guys, however, are closer to rolls with holes, or what my guy's family calls "goybles" ;) They don't taste as if they've been boiled in salt water at all, which is what diferenciates a bagel from other breads! I'm Lee, and your cousin Shanon pointed me in this direction via facebook due to my fiance being put on a 'no white flour, no white sugar' diet by his nutritionist.

So yes, I'm new to your blog, and reading eagerly, thank you for posting this. As for things to try? My fiance found this wonderful recipe for 'pancakes' that I wanted to share!

1 ripe banana, 2 tbs of all natural peanut butter, and 3 eggs. Blend together to a batter and cook lightly in a frying pan using ghee (clarified butter) to help cook, and cook as you would regular pancakes. It's light, sweet, and the batter can be used as crepe batter as well, it spreads thin enough.

Good luck, and thank you again for posting.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04392498397644475437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9193200967947563359.post-37159504402809643372011-02-04T15:04:10.826-07:002011-02-04T15:04:10.826-07:00Geez Heather, are you kidding or on their payroll?...Geez Heather, are you kidding or on their payroll? I'm with Mike, I tried Udi's Plain Bagels, and they are a joke, a severely overpriced joke. Yes, they sort of look like a bagel from a distance, but give me a break, look, I know how hard it is to be gluten free and how so many people have to lie to themselves and to the world about how a lot of food tastes just to cope. But this is a disgrace, where that comment about the chewy texture and all comes in, please, these bear absolutely no resemblance to a bagel, and to be charged more than a dollar per for what is a dry gluten free hamburger bun with a hole in the top is criminal, taking advantage of people's illness and this sanctimonious fad about being "gluten free," like it's being "cocaine free." Anyone who eats gluten free food when they don't have to is a moron. Anyone who eats gluten free food because they have to just to get along does not deserve this disrespect of inferior quality and highway robbery prices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9193200967947563359.post-59879524772236386222011-01-03T10:22:53.129-07:002011-01-03T10:22:53.129-07:00I used buttermilk with this mix and they were wond...I used buttermilk with this mix and they were wonderful!
